Flamengo took the lead after capitalizing on a moment of defensive hesitation from the French side, but PSG responded with composure and patience, eventually finding the equalizer through a well-worked move that highlighted their technical quality and experience in high-pressure matches. With neither team able to establish clear dominance during extra time, the outcome was decided from the spot.

In the penalty shootout, Paris Saint-Germain showed greater calm and efficiency, with their goalkeeper playing a decisive role by saving one of Flamengo’s attempts.
